The bible is very instructive.  One can find many parallels between Israel's history and that of the USA- past and present.  It is clear that GOD intended men to lead.  He gave certain leadership characteristics to men and more supportive characteristics to women.

It is also clear that when male leadership failed, he called on women to fill the gap.  In the book of Judges, Barak (not obama) was the male who was supposed to lead.  Deborah (in Chapter 4 and 5) led when he failed.  So GOD used a woman to lead Israel in a successful battle.

In modern times, when England's male leadership became weak and desultory, a woman, Margaret Thatcher, became the best "man" to lead England since Churchill.

This is a time in America's history when our male leadership has failed abismally.  Sarah Palin has emerged as a leader.  She probably is not the most qualified leader in this country - - But certainly our Barak isn't. Michele Bachmann is emerging as a presidential candidate and appears to have what it takes and what the country needs.  and I haven't noticed the "most qualified" (male) coming forth.  So what will happen in 2012?  Better keep an eye on Sarah and Michele.
